Maui Fires Statement

Photography by Brennen Cunningham

Over the past few weeks, we have been a bit quiet on our media platforms. As many are already aware, the Maui fires swept across our beloved island merely two weeks ago, leaving a wake of devastation. We are trying to make sense of it all and our hearts ache for those who have been affected. As many have said, this recovery process will be a marathon, not a sprint and we will continue to pour our hearts into the community in all ways that we can. We are overwhelmed with the amount of love, support, prayers, and unity that we have experienced within our community, near and far, over the last few weeks. Thank you to our first responders and numerous volunteers whose tireless efforts give us hope to continue forward. With their commitment and dedication, along with the support of our community, we know that Maui will rise again.

To our couples during these challenging times, know that you remain in our thoughts. As your wedding day approaches, we understand there may have to be some adjustments within your existing plans, but please know we are here to support you. If your special day is scheduled in the next few months on the West side, we encourage you to consider postponing or relocating.

We acknowledge the weight of these decisions as your wedding day should be one full of joy and ease, and our dedicated team is ready to guide you along the road ahead. While West Maui is temporarily closed, there are numerous alternative venues that are eager to welcome your celebration. By choosing to postpone or reschedule, you extend a lifeline to the Maui vendors who stand in need of your support during these challenging times. We will get through this together.
