Recently I was asked to write an article about what I thought a couple should consider when selecting a location for their wedding celebration. Weather it be an outdoor garden, a chapel, a ballroom, a beach or jumping out of an airplane, the decision is usually daunting to many ~ especially the leap of faith! I was recently asked to ‘dazzle’ a client who had many ideas of her own yet wanted additional inspiration. I was thrilled with the images she provided to me and ideas she had already researched. Initally hearing her colors were orange, yellow and grey, I was a tad stumped to say the least. Where did the grey come from? Recently A White Orchid Wedding was featured on TNT’s Wedding Day and we were asked to find a unique island ring options for our winning wedding couple Tyra and Rich. After researching several island inspired designs from local artists, we stumbled across the perfect match! As we learned more about our couple it was clear that they were ocean lovers as well as avid surfers who were interested in carrying this theme into their celebration. What better way than to see the ocean every day sparkling back at you? Allow us to introduce you to Gary Mukai of Precision Goldsmiths Maui. A local boy who shares his love of the sea created this stunning collection of ‘Maui Techno Wave Rings’ in his Wailuku studio. Each ring features eight waves regardless of size.
